Scanner's fixmissing adds all missing files (if they can be found in an addpath). It adds to existing sets and creates new ones if necessary.
Fixmissing puts the missing ones in:
- the belonging sysdefpath (when that option is enabled in advanced)
OR:
- the correct rompath (if the set is partially missing)
- the 1st rompath (if the set is missing completely)

Of course it uses the currently set mergemode.

I personally add files with the rebuilder only.


Scanner's fixmissing looks in addpaths but the setname there has to match (or match a clone/parentname) the missing setname. There's an option to search all files but it'll take long. The rebuilder is definetly the better alternative in this case.
