3.21 (08-Jan-2004)

misc: changed fake clone (100% identical sets) behaviour. Since I think
the number of sets in your rompaths should match the number of sets
in MAME, you need the fake sets now (in split and non-merged set
mode only of course). And since I don't like empty zipfiles you have
to double them ;)

misc: infoprompts about fake clones only appear in "show all" mode

misc: infoprompts about possible nodump replacement with known crc32
within parent/clone relationships is only shown when using
"show all" mode. The default value is YES, the nodumps are replaced
with good ones to prevent keeping dummies in fullmerge mode.

misc: titlebars show number of biossets, too
misc: missing biosroms toggle a green profile status to red now
misc: little zipscan speedincrease for sets with lots of files

I like this change even if it adds a few mb's to a romset. No doubt a few people will winge about the wasted MB's though.

A few points / ideas for future enhancements.

I notice the scanner dialog is not sizeable and the new "number of bios's" output doesn't fit in the titlebar. I suggest making it resizable as the ideal option. Same with the statistics window - if it were twice as deep you could see all the statistics at one time without having to scroll.

It would be nice to see the number of bios's exlicitly listed in the statistics too, perhaps between the "Number of Sets" and "Number of Parents". I see the bios's as superparents.

I can't count. ClrMamePro says there are 4718 sets and 17 bios's which adds up to 4735 files. ClrMamePro says I have a complete set (using split sets option). There are only 4734 non chd files in my roms directory. What's causing the mismatch? Listinfo has 17 bios resources so the bios count seems right. At first I thought it might be the psarc95 nodump that was causing the problem, but it is there. Any ideas?

Cheers,
Tim

People should use better profile names ;) "Current MAME" fits fine ;)

Maybe one day.

Still wonder why people care so much about the statistics window ;) I never look at it...I only believe the scanresults output ;)

Hmm...guess I will add that.

Hmmm....no. Gonna check that at home later today.

That funny, I have what I regard as a standard XP Home destop at 1280x1024x24 res. My profile name is even smaller than "current mame" and it still doesn't fit. Check this out - http://members.iinet.net.au/~tmorrow/emulation/clrmamepro.png.

No need, I've been silly. My sfish2 is unzipped under the folder sfish2 so I forgot to count it, 4718 game is perfectly correct and matches listinfo.

Oh ;) It's fine here ;) Well...maybe I change it...or I remove the "scanner |" at the front.
