Ah, I didn't realise that this happens when you have CHDs in your ROM path and they are not in the data file. I've always kept my CHDs in a separate ROM path (because I don't like them mixed with genuine ROMs) and hence I've never noticed this issue! I'll try to find time to ensure that DatUtil retains the disk images in future.
