Did you just use zip max or did you extract all the files and rezip the entire archive (just in case you previously had equal or better compression on that file, of course ZipMax would skip it)
I should have stated that I extracted the files, then rezipped everything to ensure BJWFlate did it's thing on that file and not be thrown out in a size compare when wrapped with zip max.
Also, I should state I'm loading them in Mame32Plus, not commandline "real" mame.
Other info: Intel P3.2/800 MHZ HT CPU. I will retest on a Xenon 1.7 dual proc, then on a Centrino 1.7 GHz, then on an Athlon 1700+ to see if it is indeed a processor issue.
I just tried it again here and got the same results.. failed to load that file after zipping everything just using BJWFlate and -s64 option (and I believe I previously did them with -s120, the default)
By the way -s3 actually works, -s64 creates the failure on load.
I will retest on other procs and post results. It's interesting the different levels of -s option make it fail for me.
