i don't think that every rom-related program needing a GUI has to be incorporated into CMP. if any, i'd prefer CHDMAN ^_^ even considering i don't have any chd's and i will not have for a long time.

the fact of the dat being outdated has nothing to do with the program itself either. maybe if you post about romident in some forums, some programmer might be interested into rewritting a gui-based romident, or some people might be interested into bringing the dat up to date.

personally i'd prefer CMP to add other functionality like scanning multiple dats at once (and then giving out a result), or support for folders inside sets.
