SubjectBug or New feature? new Reply to this message

Hi,
first thanks for an amazing tool.
I don't know enough about windows networking to know if this is normal but if I create a 'My Network Places' shortcut to an ftp site in Windows XP and select that as an 'Add-Paths' location from the 'Browse for folder' dialog, the location is not added to the list. So I'm wondering if windows is supposed to treat these as network direcories or if that would require some extra coding.

thanks again

well...before a path is added, cmpro tests if it really exists. Maybe that test doesn't succeed for your network path. Try to bind it to a new driveletter or something...

Windows won't let me map a drive to an FTP location, but it does connect me to it when I open the network location. I suppose CMP requires a location that can be at least mapped to a drive so this is a Windows issue. No worries, I didn't really expect it to work anyway.

Thanks
