hello,
firstly praise on such a handy program!

but i was wondering if somebody could help out!

scan results are great except for one wee message:

wrong name: C:\mame\Mame32\roms\sg2j.zip [wrong: sg2j] [right: plsmaswd] [not fixed]

how do i go about correcting this??

both sg2j and plsmaswd zips exist, and i assume thats the problem?? i assume i can just delete the sg2j zip and that will be it fixed? two zips of the same game.

cheers!
RH

Yes, you would be correct in deleting the s2gj.zip. Why CMP doesn't fix this is beyond me, as I think it SHOULD. :-)

Yes. ClrMamePro tries to rename them but the file with the new name already exists. To prevent overwriting the fixing will fail. You can use Scanner->Advanced->Move Not Renamed Files To Backup to 'fix' that.

No it shouldn't. And no, he's not correct in deleting the existing file.
The setname check is a fuzzy compare and it uses the "best fit" name which doesn't have to be correct. To prevent wrong overwriting, ClrMamePro doesn't do anything if the file already exists. There is an advanced scanner option to move the not renamed set to backup where it can be picked up by fixmissing.
