Hmmm...I've set the backuppath to some different value, saved the settings as default, restarted cmpro, loaded a new datfile, told cmpro to use "default cmp" and the saved new backup path was used....so....it seems to work fine here.
The path is always checked on startup. If the folder doesn't exist, it will be replaced with the cmpro default one.
