I loved that guy. I always hoped he'd be able to walk again. His Superman was funny, handsome, muscular (as opposed to stuffed-shirt)... those were great movies, no matter what anyone says.

It's just so sad. Everyone's dying so fast. I'll miss you, Mr. Reeves.

I have to say for the time, the first Superman was amazing for everyone involved and really bought modern Matting techniques to the next level. Hardly any rear projection used at all.

but not the superhero ones. i think the disaster flicks, blaxploitation, and zombie, splatter and giallo flicks were the best. still, the superman movies were some of the less sucky superhero films of their time, and still hold up relatively well today when compared to some of the cack they squeeze out.

like dk said, i would too prefer to die instead of living the rest of my life without my legs and arms (and dick)

i was really hoping that one day he would walk again, he was a strong man, he even became able to move a finger (of the toe or hand, dont remember)

sad to see him go that way... atleast wasnt painfull

Esp. Bogdanovich's output early on (When he was with his then wife... The actual skill behind the team). I've only seen a couple of Blaxploitation flicks (Shaft and errr... Foxy Brown), any good tips?

PS - Suspira... One of my fave flicks ever, I have a hard on for Argento.

It's about the birth of Blaxploitation :)

Also, call me biased if you will, but I've always been a big fan of Truck Turner. So much unintentional comedy gold in that baby, and the theme song rocked.
