What’s the best & simplest program to edit *.mpg video files?
I want cut some parts in an *.mpg.

I use a program called virtualDub (or VirtualDubMod) to re-encode video. It also has a fairly decent video editor built-in. You can also use TMPGenc http://www.tmpgenc.net/ this one can convert Mpeg -> Mpeg 2 , AVI -> Mpeg , AVI -> AVI, etc.
