I keep deleting files over and over, and still no space left on my c: (system) drive..
WTF ?

i just burned and deleted 700mb of stuff..

and in the other day there's only 100mb left, and i haven't downloaded or created a single thing!

i only use firefox, thunderbird and miranda. The caches are all clean, there's nothing can be taking up all that space, ANY ideas ?

Win2k with all updates.

i need to go the linux way again.. but i need to buy a new hdd.. damn..

Right click on "my computer".

Or maybe a memory dump on the windows folder or maybe the pagefile got bigger somehow.

Other than those, i really don't know anything else that could be eating the HD, other than bad clusters of course.

http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,15304,00.asp

It will add a 'size' tab to the 'properties' window of every folder. There you'll find how much space any subfolder is taking. Sort by size, and pronto, guilty dirs at the top.

OKKAY!

Or use TreeSize. If you run if from C:\, it'll tell you the size of each folder under C:, so you can dig out which one is hogging it all.

The only problem you may have is accessing the SystemRestore folder. If you do, try re-booting to Safe Mode and changing the Security Privileges. I found out that even though I'd specified a certain size, Windows was about 50% over.
