The last cab driver that hit me was driving away like nothing happened. I chased him, put my car in front of his and had him stop. The guy told me he didn't even realize he hit me, his passengers ran away screaming: "I SAW NOTHING! I SAW NOTHING!". What the fuck, am I the Mafia???
However, the guy insisted that we were both to blame. When he hit me I was still, so I saw troubles coming. We exchanged names and telephone numers, I told him I'd let him know about how much was needed to repair my car, so that he could decide whether to pay from his pocket or bother the insurance. Two days later, before I could do anything, a letter from a lawyer asks me and my insurance to refund the damage to his car. Ok, here's an asshole. I tried to call him, but he wasn't answering the mobile any more (seeing my number), and his insurance company wasn't the one he told me in the first place (seen te true one on the lawyer's letter).
I hate to play unfair, but he asked for it: a friend of mine was happy to witness for me, and I wrote to both the lawyer and his insurance company telling them about his behaviour. I got the money and never heard of him any more, and that's the end of the story.
