I haven't played much, but I've already got lost between my house and the drive-thru chicken place.

Maps are for pussies.

Massive city. I stole a bike and just took it all in, it's pretty cool. Haven't done many of the missions yet, but this is the same way I attacked Vice City - just goof off for a while, then really get into it.

Yeah it's worth it just for that. Plus the fact that you can go in houses, like do home invasions etc, that's pretty cool.

Vice City didn't seem as cool as GTA3 when it came out, but this game certainly gives you that feeling back. The city in Vice City is tiny compared to this game, plus it's just a lot cooler cos it looks like where anyone would be living, you could probably find a place that looks like around where you live in the game.

All the highways and bridges everywhere and everything... crazy. It's gigantic. Plus the frame rate is higher and it looks like it has a long draw distance, the cars are shinier, all of the graphical updates from the X-Box engines have made it back to the PS2. Nice.

I finally find the god damned airport. It's locked - it says I need more skill as a pilot, and to try flight school. Nuts to that. I find one of those 30 degree angle flatbed trailers (loader?), and park it up next to the gate. I grab another car, and ramp off it into the airport.

I figured maybe all the hangars were locked or whatever, but I happen to come across a dodo in plain sight. I jump in and take off.

First things first, this thing handles WAY better than it did in GTA:VC (and obviously GTA3). I'm hoping to fly all the way across the state, but after a few miles, my wanted level jumps to FOUR (!!!), and a fucking harrier jet shoots my ass down. Sucks.

You start in the lower right corner of the map, and I made it about halfway to the very center of the map before I got owned by that fucking jet. I'm hoping to GOD that I can hijack one of those fucking things.

it looks like it'll be able to hold my interest better than gta3 or vc, but even though i kinda doubt it will, it should still provide a few hours of entertainment.
