Much better than Metal Slug 4 thus far. No Marco though, which is a bummer. Maybe he's a hidden character or something.

Going to record a few gameplay videos later.

But it's far from being the greatest thing since sliced bread. The graphics aren't too impressive and the bosses are quite unimaginative. I'm not too fond of the gameplay aditions either. I mean, collecting cards? What is this? Yu-gi-oh?

It's ok fun, but still nowhere near the greatness of the first 3.

Gives us a kiss precious.

Let's not forget the badassity of Metal Slug X.

I don't see anything wrong with integrating some sort of collecting aspect in with it. The Metal Slug games have always had prisoner collecting, but now it keeps track of them along with some other knick knacks. Can't complain about that :)

The bosses aren't too special thus far, but considering how faithful it is to the series in terms of design and considering it's for the GBA, it's really quite impressive and well done. Does a nice job of leaving CT Special Forces 2 and 3 in the dust.

SubjectNoted. But i'd count 'em as 3 and a half. new Reply to this message

MS X was great, but it was a reworking of 2, so doesn't score a full sequel point.

Yeah, i understand, but it's a needless addition, specially for shittier players that die constantly ( like me ) :-), which is another gripe of mine, i don't care for the life bar system and restart from last checkpoint gameplay, that's the kind of thing that turns me off from games that use it.

I still haven't played through CT yet, so i can't judge. I guess all those nice neogeo Romzesrsasds spoiled me a bit. Regardless, it's at least nice to have another decent addition to an unfortunatly dying genre.
