got some new pc's from dell here at work. i have to use a DVI<->VGA converter because the graphics cards only have DVI connectors.

in xp, when setting the refresh to 85hz, it acts like it's playing ball. but i can still tell it's 60hz, plus the monitors OSD says its 60hz. but windows insists it's 85hz or whatever i set it to.

does DVI hijack your refresh?

hmmm. anybody?

At one point I had 2 monitors plugged in my graphics card, for the dual monitor mode. One had to be plugger with the vga-dvi adapter and I never had that problem, I don't know, try updating your gfx card drivers, maybe.

Refresh rate changed properly. Dell PC too (with DVI->VGA). If you're desperate to know the model number, PM me and I'll check when I get into work. Presumable you've already tried both using the Adapter tab's "List All Modes" button as well as the Monitor tab (on Advanced Display Properties).
