The man is a loathesome piece of shit. Did he really need to insult the majority calling people dumb. Is another fabrication of lies really needed to win the election in 2008? Apparantly he thinks so, but in reality it's not wanted nor needed. If his distorted view of reality was so just and right he wouldn't need to LIE and behave like a child. Furthermore, if it was all true w/no spin he would have bagged the 2004 vote for Kerry easily. man is full of shit looking to make a quick buck and a name for himself spinning socialist bullshit.

He was encouraging people to pirate the movie in order to see it before the election.

A lot of people either didn't see it or were too ignorant to go see it, like "It's against Bush and I'm afraid it'll change my fragile baseless opinions!" or some shit, so who's to say it didn't have any effect on people?

I think at the core of it all, it made democrats seem more full of bullshit because people thought "Since Moore is a democrat, and we have the opinion that he's stupid and you can clearly see it because he's fat, so all democrats must be stupid!"

Republicans are right to think that Moore's is a campaign of FUD, because along with any education it might be bringing, and any encouragement to look into the facts, it's also creating a lot of loudmouthed idiots. This was to be a good thing, because people would eventually argue with each other until they came up for the truth.

Everything was going according to plan, except for one thing... People are fucking idiots. They don't care about finding the truth, this thing is just a pissing contest to the american people. Nobody's actually treating the facts with the attention they deserve, and it's like 100% rhetoric now.

If campaigning swung the pendulum in one direction, by making everything as Jon Stewart describes as keeping up appearances instead of asking the hard hitting question, the idea of 9/11 was that it swung the pendulum the other way, bringing perspective to the entire thing. If one perspective was distorted reality, another perspective was a facts based approach. If the facts were misrepresented, at least they could only be countered by facts instead of bullshit.

Or so I thought. But I guess that I've overestimated people. And that's fucking depressing, because I have a pretty low opinion of people.

"there is a silver lining -- George W. Bush is prohibited by law from running again.""

So, in other words, is this (making another film) really necessary? Unless impeachment is the name of his game, of course.

While they're no question that there are a great many things that remain uncovered by the American government, to base an argument around the stupidity of the people who supposedly aren't asking the correct questions on piece of filmed propaganda is absurd. The simple fact remains that it is a film, not a documentary. It is as much propaganda as a Bush/Cheney campaign add. The majority of my friends who do agree with Moore's viewpoints realize his film is no more than simple fluff. A waste of time, though I felt it was enjoyable, humorous, and at times, had a lot of gravity.

And I would not have higher expectations from anyone in the great white north, nor anywhere else in the world, as people have show to be even more susceptible to this trash in foreign countries than the Screen Actors Guild.

Or Film Actors Guild, if you prefer. :)

and the choir is pretty much a bunch of pseudo-liberal assclowns. he's not really down for the cause, never was, especially since he decided to betray his own belief system and vote for/support a democrat this election. it's sad, i respected him for a while... and bowling for columbine is still a decent film that raises more questions than it answers, a good thing, in my opinion, though some of the 'facts' cited are shite. f911 was not a good movie nor did it expose anything people didn't already know- it just gave another reason for the right wing to believe the left wing was embodied by moore- which is simply not true.

Why didn't he just release it for free? Why doesn't he release anything for free? Why won't he just release it on the net? What a hero. He's making millions off of the system he so hates. Is he giving any of that money back? Is he putting it towards any causes? Will he always be selling the revolution? You betcha.

Well you see he's a moron, and he really isn't a Bush hater, just an ideal hater. If you don't agree with him you're wrong and he'll be after you. So he'll make it and run it during the next election and instead target the entire Republican party or something to try and cause hate to get anything but that party in office again. Aside from that I see no reason either as it would be pointless.

And to the other post trying to back moore. Go check out Farenhype 9/11 and then that 50 odd whatever facts debunked in f9/11 html online somewhere (I never bookmark shit like that.) It debunks the majority of the movie with hard provable facts.

He never cared about it being free. He just tried to come off as a fucking martyr to look better. In reality he knew people pirate movies, it's not worth fighting it and looking like an ass (liket Metallica does for the recording industry) so he tried to look the good guy. If he was that good, it would have been mailed out like goddamn AOL DVDs or run at museums or some shit at no charge.

What so many people fail to realize is that Moore is an entertainer, not a political expert.
