I have a roommate who:
Comes home from work
Grabs a beer
Goes outside and smokes a pack or so of cigarettes
Drinks and smokes till about 2am on the patio. (He comes in and grabs 2 beers at a time)
Gets up at 6am every morning
Goes into the bathroom
Barfs up what he drank and coughs up lung butter (it's become my alarm clock)
Goes to work
Comes home from work for lunch
Drinks 4-6 beers
Goes back to work
Then it starts over again. He does this 7 days a week 52 weeks a year without fail.
He drinks about a 24 pack a day, smokes 3 packs a day, and then complains about not having any money to send to his kids. He doesn't think the $600+ that he spends on cigarettes and booze has anything to do with him not having any money for both kids and bills. Denial and alcoholism don't mix.
