Are these writers really incapable of closing the circle so they just splurt out some fucking retarded excuse for an ending with a bunch of shit doesn't make any sense.

This particular rant is regarding Full Metal Alchemist. The whole series develops towards something, then makes a 130º ( it's not a full turn, it's just weird ) turn to WTF?! territory and leaves off in WTF maybe to be continued land.

This kind of shit's happened way too many times on different series. Sometimes it's obviously planned from the get go ( Gungrave, Noir and Chobits come to mind ), but it's still a remarkably weird change of pace. It's like a racing game that out of the blue would turn into an FPS for the last 2 levels.

This kind of shit pisses me off. I spent well over 20 hours to watch all of the series ( not straight up obviously, i'm not insane ) and get left with a feeling of being fucked up the ass after the end.

Am i just having bad luck choosing series or is this syndrome as commom as it seems?
