If you want to play TFC online, you have to use steam. HL and OP4 can still be played in single player mode if you install them normally. WON was just the old verification server that you're key went through, and they shut it down, and now Valve runs their own servers. When you install the game (or before, i cant remember), you will have the option of inputting your old cd-key. That will unlock your HL/OP4/TFC.
Also, if you decide to get the HL2 silver package, create a new account, since the old Cd-keys that you've entered into Steam will still be binded to that account. They won't let you reuse those old cd-keys once you've already entered them.
