What is a good wireless router, i.e. one that works well
and is compatible with about all cable modems?

My friend currently has a Motorola SB4101 cable modem, a
Dlink DI-624 wireless router, and a Dell laptop with built-
in wireless and a wireless PCcard.

When the laptop is connected directly to the cable modem,
it works fine.

When the modem is connected to the Dlink, the laptop
reports an "excellent signal" but will not connect to the
internet.

Any ideas? My friend is probably going to buy another
wireless router though, and I wanted to know which brand
would be a good one to get.
