Today I was in Best Buy in the PS2 section just browsing. Now that I'm somewhat out of the gaming loop, I though that maybe something cool had been released that I wasn't keen on. Something caught my eye. The front cover had a rather attractive girl on it; the game was Growlanser Generations. I had heard about this a long time ago and thought it sounded cool and figured I might buy it when it came out. I'm not sure how long this has been out... It was $50 and I was about to not buy it, but then I thought "You know... niche games like this don't come out that often... I ought to buy it and show my support for games like this because the people bringing these games need and deserve my money. Why shell out full retail for some new EA shlock that everyone will buy when all my money will probably just be making some company exec a bit richer." So I happily bought it. I don't know if I'll get around to playing it, but I'm glad that I'm supporting the release of games like this. Other games I've happily paid full retail for if only to support their release are Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Phantom Brave, Disgaea. I looked for La Pucelle Tactics but couldn't find it there. I'm probably one the few people who are like this, but I feel like I'm doing something good for the gaming industry. Well, if I don't get around to playing it, at least the girl on the cover is nice to look at.
