Ok, let's spice up this shit (for those that actually read more than just the topics). Post what game you're playing right now and then one positive and one negative comment about the game.

Me - Rocket:Robot on Wheels
+: incredibly awesome platform gameplay
-: controls take a bit to get used to

Metroid Prime 2:
+ awesome gameplay/graphics
- very alike mp1 (which is a good thing, but..) and I need many hours to play it and find save spots.

GTA san andreas
+ the best gameplay
- some stuff to do are too boring, like learning to swim inorder to continue the missions

Metal Gear Solid 3
+ itīs metal gear.
- too much dialogue and the game locks up, it required too much of ps2 cd/dvd reader

Ace Combat 5
+ the best dogfight simulator
-no 2 player mode anymore

Prince of persia warrior within
+ itīs very fun to play with the acrobatic prince
- he yells things like "why bother?!" to the enemies under the pseudo heavy metal bgm.

Battle For Middle-Earth
+the best LOTR based game with awesome graphics (kudos to map) and enviroments, fellings for units, etc, etc.
-seems too simple for a rts game and unbalanced

ALL GAMES
- i donīt have proper time to play ANY. (sometimes on weekends)

Good

1. Amazing graphics

Bad

2. Seems to be pushing the Ps2 a little too hard, theres slowdown suring a lot of the cut scenes. God knows what the Ps2 port of Resi 4 will be like.

Yep, having no psu is a hamper on gaming. :-(

Theme Hospital
+ Absurdly funny
- The one i'm running is so fucked up i can't save, have to play an entire level at once in each play.

Legal Crime ( i doubt anyone even knows this game )
+ Running a 20's - 30's crime organization
- Hard, and goddamn AWFULL AI.

Just recently finished Metroid Fusion

If i could, i'd be playing:
Prince of Persia SoT
Vampire - Bloodlines
Half Life 2
LOTR Battle for Middle Earth

Too many I'm going between but...

Asphalt Urban GT (DS)
+ gameplay overall
- some stupid objectives or lacking cash to have permission

Mr Driller DS
+ gameplay again, various modes are awesome
- too hard w/out buying/using 'items' but cash earning is v.slow

Kingdom Hearts GBA
+ great story, visuals and audio, overall gameplay
- gameplay though is flawed a bit by card system that can get in the way of action based combat

Donkey Konga
+ sweet new controller design and gameplay offered
- a few tunes truly suck

There's a few other I dabble with still like FF2, MarioDS, Ridge Racer, and Classic NES but I'm going to write a book here.

+very immersive environment (music, graphics, etc)
+jumping makes my acrobatic skill go up
+stealing crap out of people's houses and then selling it.

-boring.
-too hard to actually hit stuff. i know it's an rpg and everything, but if it LOOKS like my sword is hitting something, then i think it should cause some damage!
-way to easy to die by humanoid creatures. all the animals are really easy to kill though...

Just finished HL2
+ This game is a fucking blast. Graphics are phenomenal. Bump mapping done to great effect(and I read in the accompanying Prima guide that they almost didn't even include it). Best FPS I've played next to HL. The intro doesn't have quite the impact that the first one did though(those things are hard to recreate though).
- I miss the claustrophobia inducing Black Mesa compound. AI blows(but all AI blows compared to Far Cry but hey...they raised the bar). Oh and fuck the whole "resistance". It's like everywhere you go they're sucking Gordon's dick. That's great and all but he's not Jesus and playing him up to be omnipotent kinda destroys his character more than it does help. Oh and fuck the G man for robbing me of any sort of closure. And the story is kinda stunted by the uber mysterious Combine and the lack of filling us in on anything but the "Resistance". They should have called it HL 1.5:Side Story. Is it me or do they briefly show a shitload of stuff that you never actually run into?

Metroid Prime 2
+ It's alot like Metroid Prime 1

- Doesn't run as well as I'd like on my Radeonx800 SE XP2100+

Crash Bandicoot 3
+ Expands quite a bit on the Crash Bandicoot series in terms of gameplay but still keeping the same style
- Is still only Crash Bandicoot

Spider Solitaire
+ Fun, easy, quick
- MS seems to keep your win percentage down by handing you bad deals

And you know what kills me? I try to avoid using the light and dark guns as much as possible. So I'm still leaning towards Prime 1 as being the better game. MP2 is hot but I'm not too sure I'm digging the light/dark shiznit. Otherwise it's a complete and total clone of MP1 even down to the enemies, their sound effects, weaknesses and mannerisms.

The problem isn't that it's a lot like Metroid Prime 1, in fact it improves on many of the good things, better morph ball puzzles, detailed environments, easier scan system, varied enemies, different puzzles (more variations on what you have to do than the last game), the game seems less linear.

The problem is the theme is boring and so is the story, the game is pretty straightforward and it seems like you know what to expect, the enemies/characters seem less inspired than the first game and seems only average compared to the crazy creatures in past Metroid games. The fact that the "darkness" enhances enemies is cool and a very good feature, too bad the enemies aren't that cool to begin with.

Maybe they should have just included more creatures from the past 2D games that they didn't include in Metroid Prime. They should stick with things they've done well. We don't care if bringing elements from Metroid II or Super Metroid is rehashing 2D stuff, it hasn't been realized in 3D yet, it would still be interesting and the ways they improve on elements of past games has proven to be inspired.

The light/dark beams are kind of annoying as they require more ammo, I use the light/dark weapons if it's a big advantage in the battle. They're very boring, it's not like Ikaruga where reflexes and that crap enemies spit out when they explode flies at you, and there's not much interesting about the light/dark beams. At least a freeze beam let you freeze some enemies or objects, and the wave beam let you turn on electric shit, or whatever... They could have done a lot better.

I killed Bastilla, and I was pretty much part of the dark side and she shows up in the ending?! Wtf... I thought I was going to get a neutral ending or something. It seems like your past actions that determine your light/dark side don't mean jack shit, which is stupid; why even have the godamn meter in the first place then? Just because I didn't join Bastilla to fight Malak and instead decided to kill her ass it turned me from pure dark side to nuetral... so basically one decision changed everything I had done in the game up to that point.

So anyway, the end fucking sucks and I feel ripped off now that I've finished it.

edit: Played through trying to save Bastilla, and even though I told her I hated her guts in the past I saved her and she asked me if I loved her, and said yeah and I guess there's some kind of romance going on but it says nothing about it in the ending. Forget the fact that I told her in the torture chamber that I was answering questions wrong so that she'd get tortured more. Fuck... the ending and all this shit seems like a rush job to me.
