Greetings Brain Explorers!

What's the TOP FIVE BRAIN ENHANCING THINGS you can do?

In this life You ARE your brain.

You can replace every nut and bolt in your body, and you're still you.

Your brain is where its all at- So, having your brain work at its
best, is THE BEST thing you can do.

When your brain works better- EVERYTHING works better for you.

So, what's the most important Brain Things to do?

1) LEARN BRAIN BASICS.

Well DUH. If everything on Planet Earth that you experience is
experienced through your "Brain TV" and everywhere you go you are
taken to in your "Brain Vehicle"-- learn how it works. Learn the
parts, learn what they do, learn what all the switches, lights, and
knobs do-- and VOILA-- you go where you want to go, do what you want
to do.

Every month another self-help guru comes along and tells you that if
you just follow HIS NEW AND IMPROVED GUIDE TO LIFE, you'll succeed.

Bullwinkle Bull.

The Golden Rule covers most moral obligations. After that:

Learn how your Mind Motor works. Everything after that is secondary.
Start at the web site, free, http://www.NeilSlade.com, articles,
music, art, photos, links, research, and go on from there...

2) GET GOOD SLEEP.

Oh, this one is one of the most important-- and most often ignored
steps to excellent brain function-- essential for kids and teens, but
equally important to adults. Gee-- every ANIMAL on the planet already
knows this-- but humans with too many things to do ignore this #1 rule
to brain health and function.

Brain researcher T.D. Lingo said decades ago--- "When you get your
frontal lobes POP, you throw out your alarm clock!"

Research has shown over and over and OVER again, insufficient and poor
quality sleep has immediate detriMENTAL effects on brain function and
learning. In addition, all of us Brain Explorers know that dreaming
and pre-morning consciousness are those times where we are LEAST
reptilian-brain defensive, and these are times when higher advanced
functions of brain problem solving occur.

3) EXERCISE

Another DUH. A couch potato has less pain-killing endorphins at work
in his/her body. Regular exercise floods your body with health
giving-life extending positive chemical transmitters that further
assist you in keeping positive mood.

Additionally, exercise is a time where you can take a break from all
of the nonsense we call "modern life", and get perspective on what you
really need to be happy in life.

4) CULTIVATE PEACE

A peaceful brain is a brain that has good perspective, and good
problem solving capabilities, and good EMOTIONS. Every day you should
spend a good half hour just engaged in some perfectly EASY and
relatively QUIET activity. Walk your dogs, meditate, sit and listen to
good music--- AND THAT'S ALL! Appreciate where you are and how good
simple breathing is...! The best things in life-- you've got 'em already.

Again, research shows that this quiet reflective time, whether it's
sitting in some church, sitting in a lotus position, or walking down a
quiet path-- is supremely good for you and your brain.

5) FEED YOUR MIND RIGHT

Garbage in- garbage out.

Do you expose your brain to junk- or nutritious life enhancing
substances?

What does your AMYGDALA EMOTIONAL FEEDBACK telling you?

Is "Fear Factor" imprinted on your brain?

Are you listening to JUNK MUSIC or BRAIN MUSIC?
Are you watching GARBAGE TV, or STIMULATING ENHANCING programming?

Are you laughing at good natured HUMOR? (Excellent for frontal lobes...)

Or cringing at stupid negative sewer minded shock waves?

Are you feeding endless superficial BAD NEWS to your neurons?
Or are you INFORMING yourself in depth?

Be careful what you feed your brain-- you are what you "eat".
