First of all: thanks Halcyon, thanks SilentAce for helping me with tips and pointers. I can owe you one :)

HW part: the connections were pretty straightforward, but I am the unlucky owner of a "wrong screw & ring" spiderchip (see website), so I had to, uhm, make it work somehow with some nasty trick involving spare screws and rings. It's working, as long as I don't move the box too much; in that case I get the christmas lights, and I have to push down the chip. The correct screw and ring should be in the mail, however. Flashing with EvoX M8plus bios worked like a charm.

SW part: for the time being I loaded just the EvoX dashboard and some stuff to do some tests and get comfortable, before dropping the whole slayer bomb which basically is a whatever-you-can-think-of pack. XBMC works like a charm, I need to try some movie on dvd with dvdxv2 and if it works I'm done.

Next part is, download some cool games. I already picked some at random:

Capcom vs SNK 2 ('cause I'm a fighter whore)
Metal Slug 3 (just to see how good the conversion is)
Playboy: The Mansion (it must be deeply retarded, can't wait to see it)
Kung Fu Chaos (wtf, super deformed kung fu fighting)
Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volley (b00bs)
Crash'n'Burn (totally random)
Shenmue 2 (still downloading - I wish I could play Shenmue too)
Outrun 2 (still downloading - gotta love Ferrari)

Just burned CvS2 on a cdrw and it works (takes a bit to load, thought worse). What should I burn next? What should I trash?

And most of all, could you suggest the very bestest games evah? Kthx.

OKKAY!
