Ebonics is so counter productive. Of course it was a plan created by whitey to keep the black man in his place. Whitey wouldn't want the black man to actually be capable of using proper American English to communicate effectively in the real world.

If you ask me, I think it's just pop culture language. It's on all the popular music channels and in movies, even whitey uses it; there's nothing unique about ebonics, it belongs to whitey's big media industry now.
