My 2c: whatever you do with her, don't worry about being too slow. Girls LOVE slowness. Even in the approach, not only in sex. As someone said, she will see that you are interested in her as a girl, not as a vagina with a girl around it, and this is good if you are fond of her in some way and plan to establish some relationship that goes beyond sex (no matter how serious, you two have to settle on this point).
