Seriously... I know this is asking a lot - but not all of us here are lefties, and some civil debate as to why we suck would be rather welcome. Politically, it's become very one-sided here lately.

what kind of conservative? neoconservative or actual conservative? i'm not a liberal... i'm socially libertarian, economically authoritarian. what's your real position in the political spectrum? otherwise, i'm loathe to try to shit on you for it.

it's not economically authoritarian - contrarily, its economically libertarian.

eonomics are, to each human, their own ability to effect how the world effects them. thusly, an egalitarian view of economic issues - as long as people are not coerced into using their rights in a certain way - is libertarian. a communal farm would be free like this, assuming that if one person wanted to grow his own crop as oposed to what the rest grew, he would have access to his share of the land.

such is the ideal at least, but its hardly authoritarian. inequity in property rights doesn't represent that type of freedom anymore than inequity in social rights represents social freedom.

We're disregarding reality in this example, right? I mean, it'd be cool to be able to grow whatever you want without regard to the seasons, the condition of the soil, the marketplace, and without having to rotate your crops each season.
