You're in a new step in your life, so it's normal to feel anxious.

It's hard to juggle things, especially at the beginning... but practice makes perfect. With time, you should be able to find out more precisely what you want, what makes you happy, and what's not good. You will prioritize the one and reduce the other. You will find sources of inspiration and lose interest in some other things. It's normal to feel a little dissatisfied... after all those who are comptent stop doing things.

I'm in a similar situation myself... new job, new country, and trying to figure out how things will work out with the girl (being each of a different culture, the parent thingy will be a challenge). Work is very stressful, but I knew what I was signing for and I do appreciate both the challenge and the responsibility. I've also been working long hours while I really should discipline myself to keep a more healthy schedule, and I really need to start working out and find a flat in London once and for all.

About the lack of spiritual connection... well it's a personal thing. For me, it's usually science... the fact that we're but a bunch of apes that was able to figure out that we actually walk, fuck, and shit on a piece of rock hurled thousands of miles an hour around some shiny ball of gas, is amazing and makes me hopeful on our future (even though sometimes tarnished by the flipside of what kind of shit we can do to our own kind).
