SubjectX-Box mod question new Reply to this message

So Conkers is coming out and that is the title that I have been waiting for, so it's time to buy an X-Box.

I am also about to buy a sega genesis and a 4 player adapter for the game General Chaos, and I was curious if the X-box genesis mods run this game four player and full speed. If so, then I'll wait a just run the game of a modded Xbox.

Anyone know?

genesis emulation on the xbox is as good as on the pc, full speed, never seen a game that wasn't but then again I don't have cdrom games

xbox-scene.com

Search their forums.

or, I bought my pre-mod PS2 (that rocks your ass) from xmodds.com. Pricey but they're guaranteed to work and if there are any small problems they can probably be fixed for free (like laser calibration).

i think halycon was the one that did it too. You can solderless mod your system with a chip that has pogo pins for most connections and then 5 little wires that are held in my tension. i used hot glue to insure they don't come out. Then you use evox bios and slayers auto installer to turn it into a media box/ emulator/ etc... everything you want the spiderchip does for me.

I think that solderless mod-chips only work on revisions of the Xbox up to 1.6 (something).

I just today received my pre-modded Xbox (from www.advancedxbox.com in the UK) ... Crystal-stylee, 250Gb, and with an Xecuter 3 LCD Panel. It's the dog's! I've got it sharing my broadband connection to play shoutcast radio while I upload all my DivX films at insane speeds ... oh, and it's also scanning IMDB for more info on each film.

I can also use it to store/play all my emulator roms and music. I only hope there's enough room left on the hard disk for a couple of Xbox games!

Subjectnope... it works fine... its just easier on older ones... i have a 1.6a new Reply to this message

you may have to get a fiberglass pen to scratch off some of the points because they ahve a coating on them to stop the pin from going in. So you can use solderless... plus spiderchip released there reprogrammer so you can reset and any givin time now... not the most powerful chip but with the right bios and installer you can make it do wonders.

With this chip, but it was simple enough.

Anyway, what's the difference between all f the chips? If all you need to do is flash a bios then one's as good as the next, isn't it?

Xodus SP universal solderless adapter

There's also a compatibility table that tells you what works and what doesn't

You could always go for this, Xenium SP Ice, I have a xenium ice, but if I'd go for something solderless, I'd get that, team xodus makes quality products.

Spiderchip, bought after an "OMG" post about it by SilentAce.

Works just fine with standard Evox bios, and I have my media player + emulator + game console working just fine.

Last thing I downloaded was a DaphneX disc with Dragon's Lair, Space Ace and CliffHanger. Playing Dirk on the TV is teh r0xx0rz.
