Never use the U.S. Postal Service. You use something like http://UPS to speed it through customs. You should try eBay first.
If you wan't to calculate what it would cost you need a origin and destination postal code. For San Francisco use 94101. Some people can ship it through work and get a volume discount. And see if you can get someone not in California to buy it, becuase they have one of the highest sales taxes. Hit up people with Student I.D.s because Apple gives them good discounts.
