I have to configure this really old network (win nt 4 server + win98 clients and some xp clients, connecting to the internet through msp), and i am having trouble with one specific machine,
it was working smoothly until yesterday, but now, when the user tries to acess e-mail (he is using thunderbird) it sits there and gives that message (server not respoding for 60 secs, await 60 more, cancel), and when i tried to re-install the mspclnt from the client machine (\\server\mspclnt) the computer simple hangs, and i have to hard-reset it.
Any ideas of what this could be ?
It is a shitty network i know, and there are a shitload of better stuff, but they hired me just to configure and keep running, not to change softwares around. I have tried to change the client machine on the hub port, and it work for a day.. then the same problem arises again. I checked into the pop3 account with their webmail, and it only has a couple of 6kb, 10kb e-mail, so it couldnīt possible be a large e-mail..
any ideas ?
Thanks in advance
