So I was given a "Pure Trance" "mix" CD. It's frankly mediocre at best, though I could tell that the genre would probably interest me, if I was exposed to good artists and actual mixing (there was no real mixing at all; it was literally a compilation).

I'm interested in knowing what some of you guys' favorites are in this genre.

There's universal constants like anything done by Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyke, and DJ Tiesto. I'm still kinda hit and miss with most trance artists though. Some songs can really grab me and others are donkey testicles. You'll have to fire up the ol' P2P and fish for some songs and see if there's anything you like. If you're on DC let me know because I compiled a folder of trance that's so good it will literally kill you. I can't recall if I had shared them before but it has quite a few new songs as well. The songs may be anywhere between 1-4 years old but they're timeless.

Let me know if you're interested. I have shitty upload bandwidth so you'll have to deal with it but if you let it go over night then you should have them in the morning.
