the 300$ package comes with a wired controller and standard av cables

the 400$ package comes with a wireless controller, a live headset, a 20gb hd, component av cables, a silver live membership and for a limited time a remote controller for the media center

Damn you microsoft, what's the deal with a wired controller with the core system? The xbox360 will be the only new gen system to ship without wireless controllers, unless you want to dish out an extra 100$. MONEY!

Oh and if you're thinking there's a base to recharge the wireless controller, think again, you have to buy it seperatly.

Perfect Dark Zero? After seeing how rare totally screwed the pooch on Conkers reloaded/rehashed, I wouldn't bank on zero being the game it should be.

So Madden 2006 maybe? Of course it will be a four month old title at release. I don't see the killer app yet, heck aside from halo the XBOX still doesn't have but maybe 3 or 4 good games worth playing.

This generation of consoles is unique in the sense that there is no discernable advantage to the consumer to upgrade. The graphic abilities are not on par with previous jumps (2600-NES, NES-SNES, PS1-PS2) and the pricepoint is ludicrous, not to mention the fact that there are no Mario 64's/Final Fanstasy VII's/Halo's in the forseeable future.

And maybe my peers are just too poor, but I don't know very many people who can afford a $400 console and $60-70 games. I think they pulled a 3D0 with this pricing.

Time will tell, but I would wager that most of the gaming public passes on 360 and waits for PS3.

Nothing I'd spend $400 for, but the Xbox does have a few good games now. Otogi 1 and 2, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Deathrow, Oddworld Stranger's Wrath and Psychonauts come to mind.

And after 4/5 years the best they could do was just redo the old N64 game. Literally, they just redid the old game.

N64 conker multiplay owns imo. But I'm all about having 4-5 people over to game since I can't get X-box live where I live.

It's not a bad effort or anything, it's just that I've played this game once and wanted something new.

I never played it before and I was amazed at the quality of this game, and the graphics.

Faceplate ($19.99, 19.99 Euros, 14.99 GBP)
• Hard Drive (20 GB) ($99.99, 99.99 Euros, 69.99 GBP)
• Memory Unit (64 MB) ($39.99, 34.99 Euros, 22.99 GBP)
• Wireless Networking Adapter ($99.99, 79.99 Euros, 59.99 GBP)
• Wireless Controller ($49.99, 44.99 Euros, 32.99 GBP)
• Play and Charge Kit ($19.99, 19.99 Euros, 14.99 GBP)
• Rechargeable Battery Pack ($11.99, 14.99 Euros, 9.99 GBP)
• Controller ($39.99, 34.99 Euros, 24.99 GBP)
• Headset ($19.99, 19.99 Euros, 14.99 GBP)
• Universal Media Remote ($29.99, 29.99 Euros, 19.99 GBP)
• Component HD AV Cable ($39.99, 29.99 Euros, 19.99 GBP)
• S-Video AV Cable (US) ($29.99)
• SCART AV Cable (Europe) (24.99 Euros, 17.99 GBP)
• VGA HD AV Cable ($39.99, 29.99 Euros, 19.99 GBP)

The core system is worthless. It's just a ploy by ms to get people to buy it thinking that's all they'll need and then figure out they have to buy a bunch of expensive accesories to do anything on it. The core system isn't backward compatible. You'll need at least the $40 memory card if you want to play anything, so $340. If you ever wanna take it online, you'll need the $20 headset. Ever want HD? $40 cables. Wanna watch DVDs? $30 remote. And those controller prices... good god. I'm glad you can just plug in USB controllers to the PS3.

So esentially the 360 will be $400.
