The core system is worthless. It's just a ploy by ms to get people to buy it thinking that's all they'll need and then figure out they have to buy a bunch of expensive accesories to do anything on it. The core system isn't backward compatible. You'll need at least the $40 memory card if you want to play anything, so $340. If you ever wanna take it online, you'll need the $20 headset. Ever want HD? $40 cables. Wanna watch DVDs? $30 remote. And those controller prices... good god. I'm glad you can just plug in USB controllers to the PS3.
So esentially the 360 will be $400.
