I've been unloading my video game collection over the past year or so because I don't find any meaning in having the jewel case, colorful papers and discs anymore. Emulation makes having hard copies useless.

So last week I put up Valkyrie Profile on Ebay. I'm amazed at how high this thing has went:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8213732750&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

As of this posting it's at like $96. No way did I think it would go that high. I thought maybe 50, after all, that's what I paid for it when it came out.

It's really great that there are collectors out there that will lay down twice what a game was worth orignially just so they can have pretty paper inserts and discs.

Btw, VP is an awesome game that I highly recommend. I made sure to make an image of it.

Not many games I'd spend that much money on, but Valkyrie Profile is totally worth it. Amazing game.

I got lucky and picked up my copy for ~$36 from Gamestop, but it's missing a manual. Going to have to pick one up one day

Good condition. Wonder if that thing is even worth any money. I hocked anything that was worth cash long ago. Now I'm trying to buy it all again. Retrogaming is expensive shit.

Pre-Greatest Hits sealed copies of Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid are worth mad bank.

On a sidenote, if you ever want to partake in a super psycho retro gaming collection site, check out digitpress.com sometime and read the forums. People there are hardcore.

It's a fun place to talk games :)

Non-greatest hits. It isn't worth much though; at least from what it seems by just browsing what's for sale. Same for Castlevania: SOTN, and Front Mission 3.

Oh, and the final price on that Valkyrie Profile? Went for $109.
