1st of all, let me say this; planescape torment is hands down the best written rpg of all time. sorry, it's a bold claim, but you're in tears at the end of the game. i remember when i finished it, i thought, okay, so... there we go; i'll never play another game with this much impact ever again. ever. the story is shamelessly brilliant.

it really favors neither too greatly. there's a lot of reading though, moreso than both of those aforementioned titles.

from the moment i figured out how to unlock the paper box puzzle at the beginning, i was hooked. few rpg's play this well. none compare story-wise or character-wise.
