I'm off to the University for some job stuff tomorrow.
And what kills me about it is I point blank asked the guy who hired me if the place was dead end, or so far beneath me that I wouldn't like it, and he just flat out lied to me. I made $320 before taxes for 40 Hours of labor...that's sick.
And I asked my friend who works at McDonald's about their pay scale, get this...If the people at Creative who are Tech support specialists had put in the same amount of time at McDonald's, (5, 6, 10 years etc) they would be making much more hourly than they do now. That'd be like leaving Dell for Burger King and making more, unreal!
Maybe someday I'll get time to write down the ecxperience.
And about the Fatal1ty, I will say that the specs they are floating for that card are strangely fluctuating. Some materials says 15% boost, other says 25% boost. So, like the rest of their products, look at the low end and expect that to be what you will actually get. Their top out numbers are in a perfect environment under perfect circumstances, etc, and misleading to say the least.
The thing to remember though is that when you buy anything from Creative it comes with a warranty that is good for a year, yet only 60 days phone support. So then if you call at day 61, which I actually observed employees doing this to customers, they will not help you over the phone unless you purchase a "tutoring session" for $20.
And if you card needs "RMA''d (they never told us what that term meant in 40 hours of instruction) it's an additonal $25 labor. And there is only one way to get a refund, that's if you buy direct from them and "escalate the call" as it is known. No refunds should be their tagline...I've seen yard sales with better return policies :)
