SubjectWhere has emulation and retrogames gone? Reply to this message

I've been in the 'scene' for years. I feel bad for not contributing to the scene for all these years, but hey, what can I do? I'm merely a looker. I used to have a user name on these boards that i refuse to use now mainly because it sounds so childish and is soooo 1998. Plus, I don't remember the password for it. Maybe someone could help me retrieve it somehow.

I miss the days of N64 rom begging, the CPS2 craze, the old boards - remember those?? ;], how emu authors get pissed off and 'quit' the scene (too many to think about), calling people lamers (do we still use that term here?), daily updates on the main page, and of course the emulation politics that would spawn 'flames'.

sigh..the good ol' days. I love http://www.archive.org

And it's good to see this board still alive and kicking, with all you clowns still here. I feel the "CUNT ARS(e)" is the last remaining straw and connection to the emulation of yesterday.

Heard this shit about people liking what it was like in the past and that they miss it. Heard that a zillion times, heard that since 2000.

emulation... almost all major goals have been achieved, there's no more hype, only new gen consoles has yet to be emulated and we care less for that, because we're retro bastards.

Even CA lost some of it's flavor. I miss reading the rant of the old gang, after all, they forged my fucked up mind.

What matters now is the present, and now, as usual, I'm fucking drunk, so I'm going to sleep, leaving you with god himself.

NEVER FORGET

I think if we actually got a new modern forum on a separate website we could have something of a revival. Just make it cuntarse.com, have separate forums for video game talk, politics, whatever. These forums are fucking ghetto.

But also, people would have to stop being so faggy and not be afraid to bust each other's balls.
