Okay, i know OE sucks, but thatīs beyond the point now.

I am working on this pc, itīs not mine. Where all messages on some folders are gone!
Now, it good be some viruses, or something like that, but :
AVAST, Spyware Doctor and the online panda version, came out clean.
The user did NOT deleted the messages, the option to hide read messages or hide read and ignore messages is not on.

The weird thing is, the DBXīes are still with the same size, for example, the Deleted Itens folder. Itīs completely empty in all modes of exibition, but, the file in Windows\Application Data\big number\Outlook Express\ have 44 MB!.

The InBox folder is not empty, is has 7 messages (all text, no attachment) and it has 87 MB, and some other folders too. But not all folders were affected, which is the most weird thing.
Somehow i thinking that it might be a faulty hdd or a corrupted database, but i donīt know how to fix it, honestely.

Now, any help could be appreciated, i really wouldnīt like to lose all the messages, because to me, itīs money lost!

So, anyone ?

Thanks in advance...

Try importing the .pst files to MS outlook might be that OE is corrupted?

Well, Outlook Express will only decrease the size of the folders once you pick "Shrink Folder" (or something similar), so it could be that the messages are deleted, but the folder size hasn't taken it into account yet.
(OK, it's: File->Folder->Compact)

Try what doyouwanthegreat says.

Also, make a copy of the folder files now (check the properties of each within Outlook Express to find their real locations) so that if something goes wrong, you might be able to use a 3rd-party tool to recover the data.

There's always the data recovery option.
