I just played a lot of NFSMW this holidays (it was Carnaval here, and me and my girl travelled to see some friends of ours) and they had NFSMW on all their 3 machines, so we got some nice lan action going on.
But apart from that, the game seems pretty meh. Thereīs nothing on it, that justifies being twice the size of NFSU2. The graphics are just heavy on the hardware, without that much of a improvement over nfsu2. And we played on a couple of 6800 (one was a GT the other was the regular). They took out drifting, which was one of my favorites modes of the series. The whole "free-roam/explore" mode now is even MORE useless. And the whole pursuit thing, was well, disappointing, to say the least. You pretty much canīt be pursued (sp?) while in a real race, just when on free-roam, which is pretty annoying, "oh, let me get to a shop, now i canīt because the stupid cops saw me, boo hoo hoo". The blacklist thing was kinda of cool, but it isnīt nothing groundbreaking. And they really restricted car customization, which was a real letdown.
Anyway,
This is NOT the game to match Hot Pursuit, High-Stakes and Underground I.
Maybe they will get it right, next time.
