I am shopping for a mp3 player. I need music on the go. But there are shitloads of options and prices.

Now, i am looking for something very low end. 512mb or 1GB is more than fine. (Actually 256 would be fine too, but possible 512mb). Now, what do i need to look or avoid ?

I was browsing through the brazilian ebay, and i saw a couple of generic models that looked okay. 512mb, doubles as a pen drive, fm radio and voice recorder. Pen drive is important to me, the rest is not. It says it plays WMA and MP3 files, and that i can store all kinds of files in it (Pen drive).

Is there anything i should avoid like the plague ?

Also, 15 hours continuous on 1 aaa battery, is ok ?

I saw a couple of video models, but aparentely, it envolves recoding all my videos to 96x60 or something, which seems like VERY low quality to me, but maybe i am mistaken ?

Any way, any help is mucho appreciated.
