SubjectFocus on emulation not flash new Reply to this message

Current PSX projects are either horribly old and outdated or just have compatibility issues. It's nice to have a new project that's shaping up to be compatible with nearly everything and it doesn't have the assload of configuration to deal with like every other PSX project under the sun. It works out of the box. And like I said before it's the only project that gets regularly updated. Whoever wrote ePSXe may have made things look all cute but they abandoned that shit years ago. But that is the one thing that may turn off people now is that you can't enhance the graphics at all but after playing for like 10 minutes I completely stopped caring.

You gotta try it out and see for yourself. I was a little put off at first but after toying with it for an hour I became a believer.

it's about time someone makes a ps1 emu like that where you don't have to search for 10000 different plugins to find the one that will work correctly with your game.

Meh, now that I have a ps1 and ps2, I probably won't try it but stil, kudos to the author. I hope this gets ported to the xbox, well if it's fast enough.

On a side note, I can now access retrogames.com, it's about damn time.

The emulator just works.
here are the pro:
- good compatiability.
- work right off the bat. easy to set up
- no need to have all those gfx/audio configuration

bad:
- no eye candy (enhanced 3D gfx)

I too was turned off initially by the non enhanced 3D graphics. but after using it for a while it played all the games my epsxe have problem playing.

it just works. no 3D enhancement like epsxe but then again u don't have to look for and configure all these combination of plugins and some of them have bugs too.

pSX 1.4 just works. and it works good

I prefer pSX Emulator, but Xebra is even more compatible (though quite a bit slower). Dr. Hell has been doing an awesome job with the emulator, but pSX Emulator edges it out in speed and functionality.

Plus, CDZ is fucking awesome.

English please.

So, is there a Saturn emu yet? Excluding that crappy emu that requires SSE.

Don't mind the resolution, I was just pulling it out into a larger window:

Unfortunatly Xebra has a whack ass interface requires a pretty high end pc compared to every other playstation emulator.

If by crappy emu that requires SSE you really mean to say, "SSF, the highly compatible and highly accurate Saturn emulator that requires SSE2", then no, there's nothing else that even comes close to being nearly as good.

Ditch the shitty AMD chip, get a decent Intel chip and you'll be golden.
