The Opticom and MIRT systems require receivers to work. In my City, we have the Opticom system but it would have several faults:

1. You can only use it where there is a receiver.(Only some of the main lights in my city have them)
2. It also gives off a visible strobe light so you would be easy to catch. (I believe the MIRT is purely infrared and not visible)
3. They have programmable frequencies so you would have to guess until you finally got the right one.
4. How would you know whether to get an Opticom or a MIRT?

As for the Signal Sorcerer, that wouldn't work in my City either because all of the inductive-loop controlled lights are on timers. It sounds like the same company that sold the cell-phone antenna boosters a few years back you put on your phone's battery to increase reception. I wouldn't waste my money on this one.
