it's the same exact way with every facet of entertainment that claims to loose money to piracy. i could write a novel of reason on why, but i read something in an interview the other day that i think sums up the current problem pretty well...

"...and afterwards, the studio gave us the greenlight and the financing with the intentions that the project would be ready to go by midsummer..."


think about that for a second- why should something considered to be art (or a form of) have a time schedule imposed on it? i understand the business part involved, but when it comes to entertainment and true art, it gets to be a tricky situation when the artist and vision involved are subject to ironfisted red tape. i think today's "entertainment world" is far too profit driven to maintain the respect and following it used to. good vision, music, film and storytelling can garner legions of fans and money, but once the revenue becomes the focus, i think the ensuing quality diminishing puts the whole thing into a downward spiral.
