On the unfortunate occasion of my 30th.

I'm really not so much into handhelds, because I don't have many places to use them. I work fairly close to home, and when I am in my place I have consoles to use.

If I was to buy my own handheld I would have gotten the DS. I'm not a huge nintendo fanboy, but I've always loved their franchises.

That being said the PSP has been an awesome machine. I would have loved an Ipod for my birthday. But between the two games (FIFA World Cup 2006, and My Katamari), and the MP3 player the PSP has done well by me.

I especially love the WIFI and internet browser. Surfing is too cumbersome because of the text entry. But there are open access points everywhere. I can cheque my mail or world cup scores.

Best of all I've settled a few bar arguments in my favor with pints owing.
