I bought it a while back because I adored Burnout 2. The graphics are a huge leap forward (love the blur effects when you boost, and the sparks when you're slammed against the rails), but motherfuck does it get harder near the end. I've actually shelved it for a while until I can get back into it. To be honest, any game that I enjoy for a while then just get frustrated with is more annoying than a game I don't like from the beginning.
I rented Burnout Revenge a while back - using that BT vs. Doors remix right at the beginning made me wet, but I think the game overall was actually kind of forgettable. I won't bother picking it up unless it really drops in price - maybe when PS3 hits.
Also, I picked up SLAI for 20 bucks the other day. I have to un-learn my mad Virtual On skills (any mech game should be controlled with dual analog). I'm fucking terrible at it right now, and haven't had an opportunity to really dedicate some time to it, but so far it seems cool. Doesn't seem like a game you can just jump into though, I got tired of the tutorial pretty quick, I just wanted to fight other robots.
