This is true, but I'd stay away from Olympus simply because they use xD flash cards instead of SD or CompactFlash. xD tends to be more expensive than the others, including Memory Stick (which itself tends to be more than the other two, although I've noticed MS prices coming more into line with SD/CF lately), and Olympus and Fuji are the only ones that use it AFAIK (like Sony with MS). Stick with a Canon or a Nikon; they still use common, "open" flash cards. I think Panasonic makes good ones, too.

Yes, although I'd still get the higher res camera simply because I'm a resolution freak (OMG GIGAPXL uNF uNF uNF). :^)
