So, apparently, at about 2 AM (here), cop's driving up the street, hears a noise like someone's jumping a fence. Cop pulls a U-ey, looks into my apartment's parking lot, sees someone in my car... guy looks left, right, sees the cop, hops the wall, cop chases. Cops caught him about a block away, guy dropped his cell and hat nearby (but over the wall). Apparently it happened so quick that the guy didn't leave much in the way of prints or other hard evidence (so they're not really sure if they'll be able to make anything stick in court), but at least he didn't get a chance to take anything. Still, I'm left with a car with a broken window (an expense I really don't need).
