Is anyone else going out to try to score a Gamecube copy of the game? Game stores quit taking preorders a little while ago and it sounds like Nintendo is trying to just kinda sweep it under the rug and do a limited print run, so I'm going to try to score a copy before the price gouging sets in on ebay and such.

Copies are already on Amazon for $70 :\

Some good places to try tomorrow: Circuit City, Best Buy, Toys R Us, Target, and Walmart.

On sale at Circuit City for 37.99 this week. I picked up a copy earlier (not ready to jump on the Wii-wagon). One local store was sold out but the other had 20+ copies, and I here Best Buy has plenty in stock as well. The only ones getting screwed thus far are the saps that preordered at GS/EB, heh.

WHat do you expect? Nintendo did the same when the Wii came out too as far as % of the allocation went. They reward retail outlets who treat them with respect or at the least neutrality with perks. That is why almost never you see a 1st party freebie at that shithole gamestop/eb chain, but always you see them at target, walmart, and tru then to a lesser degree bestbuy and circuit city. They get more of the hardware and software, and most the freebies.

When GS wants to stop hiring anti-NIntendo cunts who make fun of ya at the front counter, or the managerial fucks who hide the stuff behind racks or in the back...THEN they'll get their cut (which is likely never, unless Wii smokes the shit out of this gen well enough to force them to.)
