I do. And proud of it. Super Mario World would be nearly impossible to find all the hidden levels without it. The same is true for Mario 64.

I did the 96 exit of mario world easy when I was a kid because I didn't have many games or anything else to do, but now days I will probably use some sort of guide just because of time constraints

I just don't have time to find everything in a game if I want to (esp the GTA games which were some of the last I've actually played through).

It was nice in games like Donkey Kong Country where a level got a "!" after the name after you fully completed it or in Mario World were levels with only one exit blinked yellow but levels with multiple exits blinked red. Those damn games that expect you to find everything without any "hints" like that are total walkthru fodder nowadays ;-)

I raped both of those games 6 ways to Sunday, but now a days I'd never have the patience to find all of those exits, bananas, whatever.

Generally, I don't use walkthroughs, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to use one for Baten Kaitos because the whole picture development system is so fucking obtuse and illogical that it'd be impossible to get anything worth a shit without a walkthrough. I hear the second game is infinitely better designed in pretty much every regard, so if I can make it through this one then I'm totally picking up the sequel.

...all because I bought a Wavebird and need some more games to play with it.

I had to for Metroid prime a few weeks ago. I didn't know what the fuck to do, since i tried to pick it up without playing it for a year. I soon realized why i stopped playing in the first place, and i quit again. What a boring ass game. I also used it on RE:CV, because, like jajig said, i didn't have the time. Searching for stupid fucking shit because i happened to be standing 1 foot to the right of the hidden switch seemed to be too troublesome for a game with such a retarded storyline.

I won't use them if i'm playing a game i'm enjoying, though. I went through The new super mario bros. with all the coins and warp zones without looking at a walkthrough. Took me a while, since i seldom play games anymore.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that about metroid prime. I thought I was just completely stupid for not knowing what to do next and giving up on it.

I didn't find it as much boring as aggravating. Nintendo and their fucking 'catch' names trying to make new genres. ActionFPS or whatever shit... basically means the enemy can move like a quake3 bot and you have to use ONE analog to stand as a target, take it in the ass and then lock on with a button before you can evade. Really smart fucking design... at least the Wii one plays like a FPS finally, and also why I will NEVER buy prime 2.

I'll use a guide because I work 40hours a week+travel time, have a life, a fiance, and I get demotivated. Hell I love Zelda on Wii but play it like once a week for a few hours as I could give a shit after 8hours at work. I'll pop up COD3 and shoot jerries or wii sports something as it's quick and rewarding. That and with the time as y'all say, convoluded bullshit to get what you need or to move along sucks and should never have been thrown into game making...FAQs let others who have no lives or are poor and buy 1 game every 3+ months do the annoying shit for you.
