Is there some kind of software (free or otherwise) that actually works in repairing those *hics* in an mp3? Please let me know, and thank you.

EAC or CDex for the money. Paranoid mode is the only way to roll.

You either got to do it yourself or have it done by a trusted friend if you want it done right. The quality of stuff on P2P varies just too damn wildly (especially with respect to proper ID3 tagging and sound quality).

Seriously, check your local library's cd selection out. If they don't have what you're looking for, check the next library over. :)
